About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager / Formulator to lead our GMP certification efforts, ensure compliance with rigorous quality standards, and collaborate with clients to create innovative, custom formulations.
Pay: Starting at $25/hour (with growth opportunities based on experience and performance)
Responsibilities
Quality Control & Compliance
- Lead Enhanced Labs’ initiative to achieve and maintain GMP certification, managing documentation, audits, and compliance systems.
- Develop, implement, and enforce SOPs, quality control protocols, and facility-wide compliance measures.
- Ensure all products meet FDA, GMP, and industry regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections, internal audits, and corrective action plans to uphold product integrity.
- Work closely with production teams to address deviations, resolve issues, and improve processes.
Formulation & Product Development
- Partner with clients to design custom formulations across gummies, drinks, capsules, powders, and honey-based products.
- Translate client needs into stable, scalable, and compliant formulas that meet label claims and functional goals.
- Research and recommend new ingredients, delivery systems, and industry trends for innovative product development.
- Oversee samples, pilot runs, and production scale-up.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
- Serve as the internal authority on formulation and quality standards.
- Train and mentor staff on quality systems, SOP adherence, and GMP practices.
- Represent Enhanced Labs during audits, client visits, and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
- 2 years of quality control, formulation, or R&D experience in supplements, nutraceuticals, or functional foods.
- Strong working knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and quality systems.
- Proven success in formulation development and scale-up.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and strong communication/leadership skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
