Qualifications: Direct Support Professionals-Must be at least 18 years of age- Positive attitude and flexible to perform various duties-Must work effectively as part of our team-Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident's best interest-Ability to read, speak and write the English language in order to understand instructions and communicate effectively with residents, families and staff-Ability to work weekends, holidays, and have flexibility-Dedication and passion to serve and care for the adults with disabilities- Must have interpersonal skills & display courtesy-Previous experience preferred, but we do on the job training-Fingerprint Clearance (live scan), physical, pre-employment drug screening and tuberculosis testing are required-Current First Aid Certification or able to obtain one after being hired- At least 6 months experience working for ARF, Assisting Living, or long term caresetting, preferred.
Job Descriptions
Direct Support Professional Provide assistance to residents with tasks involving activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, assistance with transfers and ambulation). Housekeeping duties including bed-making, laundry, washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, etc. Monitoring residents conditions and documenting behaviors and interactions daily.
