Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and overhaul mechanical systems such as engines (including diesel), transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering components.
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques to execute repairs efficiently.
- Work with automotive service protocols for auto body repairs and auto estimating to deliver complete vehicle solutions.
- Follow dealership or industry standards for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and air brake systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers about vehicle conditions and recommended services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive mechanical systems including diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic software for automotive diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with automotive suspension system repair, brake repair, shocks & struts replacement.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment mechanics and auto body repair is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Certification or training in ADAS calibration or diesel mechanics is advantageous but not required.
