About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Volunteer Manager to join our team. This position is essential to maintaining and expanding English Together’s mission of bringing together Spanish speaking workers in the Silicon Valley with area volunteers who can support them in “practicing” workplace English.
What You’ll Lead:
- Recruitment and onboarding of volunteers across three program cycles
- Working closely with the English Together team to match learners and volunteers strategically.
- Providing timely, accurate information to volunteers about changes, updates or needs.
- Must be available to support 2 evening zoom sessions (Mon and Tues, 6:30 to 8:30 pm).
- Relationship management and support for volunteers throughout the year
- Coordination with program staff to ensure seamless weekly operations
- Data tracking, attendance oversight, and trend analysis to keep the program running.
- Upholding the values, standards, and proven practices that have shaped English Together since day one.
- Will require flexibility in checking communications during the day to respond to and manage changes

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and Spanish
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to the mission, philosophy, and values of English Together
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Google Suite.
- Working knowledge of social media
- Quick learner of new technologies
- Detail oriented
Preferred Background:
- Project management and event planning experience
- Experience working with both established and immigrant communities or low-income Spanish-speaking individuals
