Duties
- Develop and implement engaging Montessori-based curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, emphasizing literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills
- Lead classroom activities that promote childhood development, behavior management, and early intervention strategies
- Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate classroom management techniques and support individualized learning needs
- Foster a positive classroom environment conducive to toddler care, preschool experience, and child welfare
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with state standards, including standardized testing protocols and early childhood education requirements
- Support children’s emotional well-being through effective behavior management and nurturing interactions
- Communicate regularly with families about children’s progress, milestones, and developmental goals
- Maintain accurate records of student development, attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in accordance with licensing standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field; Montessori certification preferred
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience required
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members effectively
- Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that align with developmental milestones and educational standards
- Experience working in private schools or daycare environments is a plus
- Passion for early childhood education with a focus on Montessori methodologies and child welfare
