Experienced Lawn Service/Pest Control Technician (Hiring Immediately)
Candidate MUST have at least 1 year of verifiable experience applying pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers.
Englewood Pest Control is a small family owned company seeking an experienced Lawn Service/Pest Control Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and treating common lawn and ornamental issues, safely applying pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has a strong background in lawn care and pest control, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat common lawn and ornamental issues, including pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Safely mix and apply chemicals, including pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, following company policies and state regulations.
- Maintain, clean, and properly handle equipment and tools for pest control and lawn care treatments.
- Use technology (e.g., smartphones) to manage routes, log service reports, and record treatment details.
- Communicate professionally with customers, explain treatment plans, address concerns, and provide recommendations to improve lawn health and appearance.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year previous experience in applying pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers. Florida experience preferred.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices, including insect, weed, and disease identification.
- Experience in General Household Pest Services (GHP) is a huge plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
