Responsibilities: The Production Mechanic Line Setter is responsible for supporting the department through a variety of tasks including:
- Set up and adjust filling, labeling, and packing equipment according to product specifications
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs during production runs
- Assist with line changeovers, ensuring minimal downtime and accurate configuration
- Conduct routine checks to ensure equipment is running smoothly and safely
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to resolve equipment-related issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and workstations
- Document setup parameters and maintenance activities as required
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus
- 1–2 years of experience in a production or mechanical role preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and follow setup instructions, diagrams, or SOPs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and respond to urgent issues
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10-40 pounds
- Fast-paced production environment with frequent equipment interaction
- May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- PPE and hygiene compliance required at all times
