Job Summary:
Responsible for the coordination of daily surgical procedures and in office procedures, maintaining physician's surgical agenda, coordinating patient's care with multiple provider and other departments, scheduler, insurance pre-certifier, and performing other clerical/medical assistant/secretarial functions.

Job Qualifications:
- Demonstrates effective professional communication skills with patients, visitors, co-workers, physicians, office personnel, ancillary departments, and outside agencies
- Generates and processes all paperwork connected with scheduling consults and patient follow-up appointments pre and post-surgery
- Verifies and updates insurance information utilizing internal and web sources according to office/department guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of medical abbreviations and terminology preferred
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications
Education Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent required and/or medical office and insurance experience maybe substituted.
- Two (2) years' experience in a medical office environment.
