Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Helper to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be vital to ensuring smooth warehouse operations by assisting with materials handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, and operating various heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Support inventory management by organizing stock and conducting regular stock counts
- Handle materials safely through manual handling techniques, heavy lifting, and proper use of material handling tools
- Ensure all shipping and receiving activities are completed efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety procedures and best practices in warehouse operations
- Open and inspect furniture
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment or distribution center is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes including order picking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety protocols including OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently
Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 75lbs
- Read and Write English
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
