Strong background in Mainframe infrastructure—this is not a routing/network engineering role.

Deep knowledge of network security in mainframe environments and encryption fundamentals.

Experience with:

ICSF (Integrated Cryptographic Service Facility)

z/OS network security
-
zERT (z/OS Encryption Readiness Technology)

Hands-on experience with cryptographic protocols, including post-quantum / quantum-safe algorithms (lattice-based, hash-based, code-based).

Familiarity with mainframe network protocols:

z/OS, VTAM, TCP/IP, APPN, IPSEC

Experience in mainframe modernization and migration projects.

Certifications such as:

CISSP

IBM z/OS Mainframe Practitioner

Marist z/OS Certificate

Scripting/automation experience (not mandatory but a strong plus):
