Technical Scope & Expertise
Senior-level Wells Engineer role focused on design, planning, and management of drilling operations.
Must handle mid-level wells engineering complexity, including casing/tubing string design and activity unit selection.
Requires translating Shell Wells guidelines/standards into practical execution with measurable business impact.
Expected to drive technology adoption and field optimization opportunities.
Experience Requirements
Strong, hands-on Wells Engineering experience in drilling/completions/interventions (not junior-level).
Direct experience managing drilling operations and collaborating with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and contractors.
Previous exposure to budget impact, operational efficiency, and leading technical recommendations.
Experience guiding or mentoring others in Wells engineering is preferred.
Soft Skills & Leadership
Ability to coordinate work independently and bring together inputs across teams.
Strong communicator who can represent Shell externally as a subject matter expert when needed.
Must be capable of delivering recommendations that influence operational decisions.
