Mechanical Crash Test Engineer - Automotive Safety
- Full Vehicle, CRASH or Occupant Safety Testing, and System Validation
- Support Testing, DFMEA and DVP&R development and execution.
- Define test methodologies in alignment with vehicle development programs
- Full Vehicle, Occupant Safety Testing, and System Validation
- Deliver efficient test property usage through re-use strategies
- Manage, track and deliver any required test property updates and retrofits
- Drive delivery of testing to project milestones
- Coordinate logistics for prototype vehicles, parts, and fixtures for testing.
- Ensure quality test reports and proper data collection
- Deliver efficient test property usage through re-use strategies
- Communicate all test results to the cross functional teams
Relevant Background:
Candidates should have a good knowledge and familiar with Automotive closures, structures and Interior test requirements and standards. Experience with Door KLT, SAG,
Durability, Floor Pan Deflection, Tie Down Strength testing, Life Cycle testing, and understanding of FMVSS regulations (208, 207, 210, 216, 225) is preferred.
