- Knowledge of material handling practices, warehouse operations, and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of employment laws and company policies.
- Experience supervising and developing employees effectively preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory management and reporting.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, and hoists.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
