Description

• Contract to direct position for a Manufacturing Technician for 1st or 2nd shift assembly and testing of optical components.
• Meet production and quality requirements along with the manufacturing technician team.
• Responsible for optical fiber handling, fiber cleaving, fiber splicing, and optical power measurements.
• This is a great opportunity to learn a new profession.
• The position should lead to direct employment with the company within 6 months.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer Skills (Word / Excel).
• Basic math skills (a good understanding of fractions, decimals, etc.).
• Good hand eye coordination, able to handle small optical fibers.
• Ability to read work instructions and to write legibly.
• Prior assembly or manufacturing technician experience ideal but not required.
