Engineering Manufacturing Technologies (“EMT”) is a metal component manufacturer located near Binghamton, NY. Our manufacturing facility is over 130,000 sq. ft. and we employ over 125 personnel. EMT has been in business for over 70 years and our manufacturing processes include Punch Press Stampings, Sheet Metal Fabrications, and CNC Machining & Turned parts. EMT is known as a leader in our industry and our manufacturing facility houses the “most state of the art” equipment. Our continued growth in the automotive, aerospace, commercial/industrial, DOD, firearm, and pharmaceutical industries requires EMT to hire an experienced Parts Packer.
The person we hire will be experienced in packaging parts and other essential shipping duties. We are looking for a self-starter who has the ability to:
· Examines and inspect containers, materials or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met.
· Measures, weighs and counts products and materials.
· Records product, packaging and order information on specified forms.
· Loads and unloads trucks using hand truck, pallet jack and/or forklift.
· Utilizes standup and sit-down forklifts to transport and/or load and unload materials.
· Obtains, moves, and sorts products, materials, containers and orders.
· Operates all equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
· Relays information from vendors to management.
· Attends work on a regular and continuous basis.

Minimum Requirements:
· A high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in packaging parts or related experience.
· Knowledge of hand truck, pallet jack, standup and sit-down forklift equipment operation.
· Must be detail oriented and thoroughly complete all work tasks.
· Team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
· Ability to accurately count product and communicate inaccuracies.
· Capable of self-directing the completion of multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Honest and trustworthy.
· Proficiency in communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
· Capacity to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
· Aptitude to discuss and resolve problems and complaints tactfully, courteously, and effectively.
· Must have the ability to be flexible and adapt to change readily.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
