Job description

As a Forensic Engineer, you’ll apply your technical expertise to investigate and analyze failures, damages, and accidents involving buildings, structures, and materials. You’ll conduct site inspections, perform structural and material assessments, review documentation, and prepare clear, defensible engineering reports. Your findings will help clients—such as insurance carriers, law firms, and property owners—understand the root cause of loss events and support claim resolution or litigation.

You’ll work both independently and collaboratively with other engineers and project managers, often traveling (within the state of Texas) to inspection sites and communicating directly with clients. This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Pay:

$100k - $150k depending on experience.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)


Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas


Proven ability to investigate and determine the cause and origin of structural failures, material defects, or construction-related issues


Strong technical writing skills with experience preparing detailed forensic reports suitable for litigation or insurance claim purposes

Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
