Technician / Machinist / Welder
A growing engineering company in Rockland County, NY is seeking a Technician/Machinist/Welder to support a wide range of hands-on technical and shop operations, including assembly, machining, welding, and brazing. On-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of shop tasks including assembly, machining, welding, brazing, and testing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate engineering and testing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow instructions and complete daily assignments from the Project Manager and Shop Manager in a timely manner.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong work ethic and a high sense of responsibility; able to meet deadlines.
- Versatile and able to adapt to a wide variety of tasks.
- Experience with quality management systems, reading technical drawings, or working in a machine shop is a plus.
- Knowledge or experience with CNC machines, centerless grinding, lathes, milling machines, brazing, and/or welding is highly desirable. Ability to perform fine metal work and weld or braze thin metals is a plus.
- Able to follow instructions for engineering tests, take measurements, and maintain accurate records.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $29.00 per hour
