The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and evaluating financial data to determine the costs of business activities, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor. Primary Responsibilities:
- Fixed Asset Management
- Project set up and maintenance
- Develop Proposal Pricing
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Support Monthly Billing Support
- Support Month End Close and Financial Statement creation
- Back up activities: Expense reporting, Time, and Payroll
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in Pricing Development
- Government contracting experience
- Familiar with all contract types: FFP, T&M, CPFF, COST
- US citizenship required
Preferred:
- Deltek Costpoint experience
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Proposal writing experience
- Attention to Detail
