Applications / Technical Service Engineer – Engineering Thermoplastics Applications
A multinational company with a facility in the Farmington Hills, Michigan area is currently seeking an Applications / Technical Service Engineer for a Direct Hire opportunity with their growing team. These are exciting opportunities for Applications Engineers looking to combine hands-on plastics and injection molding expertise with customer-facing applications engineering, helping solve real-world technical challenges and bring new engineering thermoplastic applications from development through commercialization.
Applications / Technical Service Engineer rates are anticipated to be $85,000 to $90,000 per year based on each candidates experience and education. All well qualified candidate will be considered regardless of pay rates.
Qualified Applications / Technical Service Engineers will have most if not all, of the following skills and experience:
- 5 years of recent / relevant experience with technical service, polymer engineering, product development, application development, or related technical fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related technical field is preferred- but equivalent experience, educations, certifications will be considered.
- Working knowledge of injection molding fundamentals.
- Experience with analytical and material characterization techniques such as DSC, FTIR, SEM, microscopy, MFR, mechanical testing, or dimensional metrology is preferred.
- Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas considered).
- Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screening, reference, etc.
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
