Depending on experience level, duties may include:
- Assisting with layout, framing, and rough carpentry work
- Installing doors, hardware, blocking, and backing
- Building and installing temporary structures (e.g., safety railings, partitions, formwork)
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand and power tools
- Supporting site preparation, material handling, and general labor tasks
- Assisting with job site cleanup and material handling
- Following all safety procedures and company policies
We are hiring for multiple experience levels:
- Entry-Mid-Level: 1–3 years of carpentry or general construction experience
- Experienced: 3 years of commercial carpentry experience, with proficiency in layout and finish work
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- This position requires outdoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions.
- The role may occasionally require working in high, precarious places; near fumes or airborne particles; and handling toxic or caustic chemicals. There is also a risk of electrical shock and vibration in certain situations.
- The work environment noise level is usually loud.
- This position may require frequent travel by motor vehicle.
- The role may involve extended hours on construction sites, necessitating physical stamina to move around the premises.
- The ability to lift and/or move materials and tools is essential, with a maximum weight limit of 50lbs. These tasks may vary and are not required to be performed daily.
- Effective and professional communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, and others, whether individually or in a team environment, are vital aspects of the role.
- Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, are necessary for performing work safely and effectively.
- May be required to work on project sites both within and outside of the Boise metropolitan area, or in other states.
