Tooling Maintenance Tech- Nights

Reports to: Tooling Manager

Employment Status: Hourly Non-Exempt (12-Hour Rotating 2/2/3 Shifts)

Pay: $18.25 - $23.70 10% shift differential

Shift: Nights 5:50pm - 6am

Job Summary:

The Tooling Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep on all die and sizing. This person is expected to maintain tooling to ensure proper working conditions.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Responsible for cleaning of all extrusion tooling.
• Work with production on any tooling maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with tool shop on necessary repairs and preventative maintenance issues.
• Log each job in tooling maintenance log.
• Fill out documentation as required.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Follow work instructions and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Have the ability to use hand tools.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent attendance record (internal candidates).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must wear and properly use required PPE on the plant floor.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience or completion of forklift training.
• Good communicator.
• Self-motivated.
