Engineered Plastic Components (EPC) is a world-class manufacturer of plastic products, and as a growing company is actively looking for a Project Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in injection molding and experience with managing customer accounts and projects in a manufacturing environment. This individual must be self-directed with the ability to work independently, highly motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy due to having access to complex and sensitive documents. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are also essential. Responsible for a project's technical and engineering aspects, from start to finish. Schedule, and manage tasks to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper resources. Maximize project efficiency and profitability. Must be able to communicate with internal and external customers as well as all levels of the management staff.
Job Duties:
Interfaces with customers as project manager on new programs
Maintain the highest quality work to continuously ensure customer satisfaction
Product cost estimating
Follows tool progress at tool shops to ensure timely completion
Reports weekly to plant management the status of all new programs
Provides product design and tooling manufacturing feasibility
Ensures that all aspects of the projects are addressed and completed in a timely fashion
Performs as a team leader for the internal product development team (PDT) for new programs
Attends PDT meeting and becomes a member of the customer's PDT
Documents all project activities in a program file
Works closely with manufacturing on the repair and modification of existing tools and fixtures
Maintain the highest quality work to continuously ensure customer satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Job Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in engineering with experience in planning and executing projects in the field.
Knowledge of design and visualization software like AutoCAD, and advanced MS Office skills.
The ability to work with multiple discipline projects, and to manage projects efficiently communication skills
The ability to communicate effectively with different teams and senior staff members to keep them updated on the project's progress.
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
