About the Role
We are seeking a high-performing Project Manager to lead critical engineering and operational projects from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within Tier-1 defense prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, bringing a disciplined "strategy-first" mindset and the ability to project management with rigorous technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring deliverables meet stringent schedule, cost, and quality targets.
- Stakeholder Integration: Act as the primary liaison between internal technical teams (engineering, manufacturing, IT) and external customers or senior leadership.
- Performance Tracking: Utilize tools like Microsoft Project to develop logic-based schedules and resource-loaded plans.
- Financial Accountability: Manage baseline budgets, forecast performance, and support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting where /if required.
- Risk & Issue Mitigation: Proactively identify technical and schedule risks, maintaining risk registers and recovery plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 3–10 years of project management experience, specifically within Lockheed Martin or similar aerospace/defense organizations.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project
- Experience with defense-specific tools/processes like CAM (Control Account Manager) certification, BOE (Basis-of-Estimates) development, or SAP/COS.
- Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or Business-related field.
