Location: Maryland Heights, MO
Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Compensation: $20 per hour. Pay is subject to overtime based on hours worked.

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable Shipping Specialist to join our production team. In this role, you will prepare, package, and ship finished goods to customers while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will work closely with production, warehouse, and customer-facing teams to move materials throughout the facility, maintain shipping records, and support an efficient shipping process.

What You'll Do

Shipping & Logistics

• Prepare, package, and ship finished goods to customers
• Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts
• Move materials throughout the facility as needed
• Follow established procedures for receiving, material storage, order picking, and order staging
• Capture and maintain shipping information and documentation

Equipment & Material Handling

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively
• Build and prepare shipping containers using hand and power tools
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
• Ensure materials are handled and stored properly

Quality & Customer Support

• Verify shipments for accuracy and completeness before shipment
• Identify and report damaged materials, defective parts, or shipping issues
• Work with internal and external customers to answer questions and resolve problems
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality

Team & Continuous Improvement

• Meet productivity and performance expectations
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Assist with other production and shipping duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Basic math and reading comprehension skills
• Ability to follow written instructions, work procedures, and safety guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the workday

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse, shipping, production, or material handling experience
• Forklift experience or willingness to become forklift certified
• Experience using hand and power tools

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment
• Work performed in a facility where temperatures may vary depending on seasonal conditions
• Exposure to moving equipment and mechanical parts
• Moderate noise levels typical of a production setting
• Frequent walking, standing, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift

Physical Requirements

• Regular use of hands and fingers to handle materials, tools, and equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
• Ability to perform visual inspections and verify shipment accuracy
