eNGINE is partnering with a local financial services company to add a UI/UX Software Engineer to their growing application development team. This individual will support the design, enhancement, and optimization of software applications, customer portals, and employer-facing sites used for secure payment processing. This is a hybrid role looking for candidates to go into the office 2-3 days/week which is an hour east of Pittsburgh.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with project owners, end users, and developers in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality UI features.
- Create UI/UX layout designs, functional specifications, user flows, and visual elements for new and existing apps.
- Identify test scenarios and ensure UI deliverables meet performance, accessibility, and usability standards.
- Design and develop front-end solutions that enhance user experience and improve data workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members, participating in standups, sprint planning, and reviews.
- Troubleshoot UI issues, analyze root causes, and implement fixes or enhancements.
- Contribute to ongoing modernization efforts using the latest versions of Angular (16/18/19).
- Demonstrate continuous learning, openness to feedback, and a team-first mindset.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in a Microsoft-centric environment (C#, .NET, SQL Server).
- Strong proficiency with Angular (16/18/19 preferred) and modern front-end development best practices.
- Experience designing intuitive UIs with a focus on performance and usability.
- Ability to define requirements, translate user stories into UI solutions, and partner with QA on test scenarios.
- Experience working within Agile Scrum teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across roles and departments.
- A growth mindset—willingness to learn, take constructive feedback, and improve independently.
