The quality engineer is a key member of the ETE engineering group. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product and process quality through systematic analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry, particularly automatic transmission systems, and will ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards for performance, durability, and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and maintenance of the company QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Develop and train personnel on quality standards, defect identification, and best practices.
  • Drive production improvements and defect prevention back into the process by participating in warranty and FPY (First Pass Yield) reviews.
  • Collaborate with product, production, and machining teams to address quality related challenges.
  • Monitor and analyze key quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality engineering, preferably in a remanufacturing or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and related industry standards.
  • Experience with quality tools and techniques (e.g. – LPA, CAPA, 8D, PFMEA, SPC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the remanufacturing industry.
  • Understanding the operational principles of automotive automatic transmissions.
