General Laborer - Parts Department

Responsibilities:

• Read, understand and follow detailed work instructions, process & procedures, keep an even work flow
• Examine and clean components for use, noticeable wear, damage & defects, understand quality standards
• Help the department in many different roles and areas, take on responsibilities and learn equipment
• Verify & perform quality checks to ensure parts and components are correct and within standards
• Operate and perform work using a variety of equipment, tools and machines (manual, hydraulic, pneumatic)
• Ensure inventory is correct and is stored/staged in proper locations, advise of any quality issues
• Keep department clean of trash, loose debris and dirt, sweep and mop job areas throughout the day 
• Assist others within the department, train new personnel and work overtime when needed
• Follow directions from leads, supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful   
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily

Essential Functions:

• Ability to properly take and read various gauges and dimensions, able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, ability to bend, twist, pull & push
• Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
• Skill of working with your hands, tools (must provide your own), gauges, fixtures and other instruments
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8 hours a day and under pressure at times
• Have a Can Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision making skills
• Self-starting and motivation; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
• Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
