Responsibilities
- Safely disassemble automotive engines using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining techniques
- Conduct thorough quality control inspections on engine components to identify wear, damage, or defects
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move heavy engine parts safely within the workspace
- Maintain detailed records of disassembly procedures, parts inventory, and quality control checks
- Assist in the reassembly or preparation of engine parts for resale or recycling as needed
- Identifying engines and tagging them palletizing engines according to which plant they go to
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or manufacturing environments
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools
- Experience with assembly techniques preferred
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklift equipment preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety standards
