What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Online as a Conversation Partner — Teen Volunteer Opportunity position at ENGin?
ENGin matches English-fluent volunteers from around the world with Ukrainian conversation partners for weekly online conversation practice. Volunteers share their culture and perspectives while helping their partner become more confident speaking English.
Our vision is a Ukraine where global connection is the norm — where people of all ages and backgrounds benefit from cross-cultural relationships and see themselves as part of a shared global community.
Since launching in 2020, ENGin has connected over 38,000 Ukrainians with over 32,000 volunteers. 99% of our learners report breaking the language barrier after 3 months in our program, and 79% of our participants form lasting friendships. ENGin welcomes volunteers from diverse backgrounds, interests, and experiences. Join us today!

Looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity for teens that you can do from home?
Join ENGin as a teen Conversation Partner and get matched with a peer your age in Ukraine for weekly one-on-one English conversations. In just one hour a week, you can help a fellow teen build confidence, practice English, and connect across cultures — all while building your own communication skills, gaining cross-cultural experience, and getting your volunteer hours upon request.
We'll pair you with a Ukrainian teen close in age for weekly one-hour video chats at a time that works for your schedule. You'll help your partner practice conversational English, share what life is like where you're from, and build a genuine friendship through cultural exchange.
What You Need To Volunteer
Since 2020, ENGin has matched over 32,000 volunteers with Ukrainians for authentic language exchange — including many student and teen volunteers. 99% of learners say the program helped them break the language barrier, and 85% form lasting friendships.
