What You Can Expect

As our FP&A Advisor, you will serve as a key financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis resource supporting the business and finance leadership team. On a monthly basis, you will prepare financial reporting, analyze actual results against budget, investigate variances and anomalies, and help ensure the accuracy of financial results. You will collaborate closely with Project Controls, Accounting, Asset Management, and management teams to validate financial information and provide insights that support business operations. This role regularly delivers financial information and reporting to finance leadership, including the CFO and management teams, while supporting annual budgets, forecasts, and business planning activities. Reporting periods, month-end close activities, and budget season are the most active times in the role.

  • Coordinate preparation of annual budgets, reforecasts, and business plans.
  • Analyze monthly financial performance and explain actual versus budget variances.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Project Controls, Asset Management, and business teams to validate financial results and reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare reporting and analyses for finance leadership and management teams.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Finance or Accounting, including experience preparing and analyzing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience working independently to prepare monthly financial reporting and explain actual versus budget performance.
  • Microsoft Excel skills, including frequent use of analytical and reporting functions for day-to-day financial analysis.
  • Experience using business intelligence/reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Financial modeling, data analysis, and data visualization capabilities.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate findings to management and senior leadership.

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy.
  • This role requires regular attendance at the Houston office.
  • Position ca include some travel domestically (less than 10%)
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.

Compensation

Salary Range: $107,100 – 154,400 USD/ Annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
