Senior Staff Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team within a technology-driven organization. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience with strong exposure to Deltek Costpoint, payroll processing, expense reporting, and month-end close activities. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and full compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process transactional activity and month-end journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate employee compensation, deductions, and adjustments.
• Review, verify, and process expense reports in accordance with established company policies.
• Utilize Deltek Costpoint for project accounting, billing, and job cost tracking.
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting while monitoring actuals against budgeted expectations.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support annual audit activities by preparing documentation and coordinating with external auditors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a project-based or regulated environment.
• Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint is required.
• Working knowledge of payroll systems and expense management platforms.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
