Physician Assistant – Primary Care
Location: Engelhard, North Carolina
Schedule: Full-time or part-time; flexible scheduling based on provider preference
Compensation: $51 - $61 per hour, depending on experience
Ocracoke Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the care team at Engelhard Medical Center in rural Hyde County, North Carolina. We provide compassionate, community-focused care in an area shaped by fishing, farming, and small-town life.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide comprehensive primary care services to all patients regardless of their ability to pay, with a strong focus on serving rural and underserved communities.
About the Role
- Provide primary and preventive care to patients of all ages
- Flexible scheduling available based on provider preference
- Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Patient panel designed to support meaningful continuity of care
- Collaborate with experienced physicians, other mid-level practitioners, and clinical staff in a supportive, team-oriented environment
- Participate in community health initiatives that make a meaningful impact
