Engelberth Construction is seeking a Civil Estimator who provides expertise and support to the preconstruction and operations teams related to civil and site infrastructure work.
Position Overview
The Civil Estimator plays a critical role in project success by developing accurate, strategic cost estimates and supporting civil and site-related planning, risk management, and execution across our commercial construction portfolio.
Key Responsibilities

Develop estimates at all phases of design

Coordinate subcontractor bidding for CM and hard bid projects

Maintain the civil estimating database

Provide internal coordination with team members related to civil and site work (cost, scheduling, design issues, bidding strategies, and risk management efforts)

Support operations teams with site-related issues and business development efforts, including RFP responses

Perform civil and site-related material takeoffs

Coordinate with equipment and material vendors for current pricing

Develop cost estimates using Timberline/Sage estimating software

Understand subcontractor market conditions and develop subcontractor bid lists

Develop subcontractor bid packages defining specific trade scopes

Review subcontractor bids and proposals for conformance to requested information

Discuss estimates and subcontractor bidding results with Owners and Design Team members

Provide constructability reviews and quality control feedback to designers

Develop cost reduction strategies and evaluate value engineering suggestions for cost and schedule impact
