JOB SUMMARY: The Infusion Coordinator plays a critical role in the delivery of infusion therapy services within EngageMED practices. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient infusion therapy including scheduling, insurance verification, patient education, supply management, and communication between clinical and administrative teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for infusion therapy in collaboration with clinical staff.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for infusion medications and services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients receiving infusion services, providing education and support throughout their treatment process.
- Ensure all required documentation, labs, and physician orders are complete and up-to-date prior to infusion.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Track medication inventory and coordinate with vendors for timely ordering and delivery of infusion medications and supplies.
- Collaborate with nurses and providers to monitor treatment plans and address patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
- Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (preferably in infusion, oncology, or specialty care coordination)
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, including benefits verification and prior authorizations
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and confidentiality
Working Conditions:
Full-time position; may require occasional overtime based on patient needs
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
May require occasional lifting of medical supplies or equipment
