Come join a fast growing boutique bi-coastal Corporate Law Firm, we are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Paralegal Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid background in corporate law and Secretary of State filings. You will be responsible for overseeing 7-8 Paralegals within the NY, DE, & LA offices.
A Corporate Paralegal Entity Formation Supervisor oversees a team in managing the full lifecycle of legal entities, from formation to dissolution. This role combines advanced paralegal skills with supervisory responsibilities, including process development, training, and coordinating high-level transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision & Workflow Management: Assigning tasks, coordinating schedules, monitoring workloads, and ensuring all deadlines are met for the paralegal team.
- Entity Formation & Maintenance: Overseeing the drafting and filing of formation and dissolution documents (e.g., articles of incorporation, bylaws), obtaining EINs, and managing annual reports and state/federal filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Corporate Governance: Ensuring compliance with federal and state corporate laws, managing and maintaining corporate records and statutory registers (e.g., minute books, stock ledgers), and assisting with materials and minutes for board and shareholder meetings.
- Process Development: Designing and implementing new workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance, often leveraging technology and AI tools.
- Liaison & Coordination: Acting as a primary point of contact between internal legal teams, executives, external counsel, and regulatory bodies.
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with vendors and service providers for corporate filings and registered agent services.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A bachelor’s degree
- Experience: A minimum of 8-15 years of corporate paralegal experience in a law firm with prior supervisory or team lead experience.
- Knowledge: Deep expertise in corporate law procedures, entity management, corporate governance
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with various software
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple time-sensitive projects, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
