Job Description: Rough Residential Carpenter
Position: Rough Residential Carpenter | Industry: Residential Construction
Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Rough Residential Carpenters to work on residential construction projects. The ideal candidates should have hands-on experience with framing, measuring, cutting, and installing wood structures for new home construction and residential remodeling projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rough framing for residential homes, including walls, floors, and roof structures.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
- Measure, mark, cut, and assemble lumber and other building materials.
- Install wall studs, floor joists, roof trusses, rafters, and structural supports.
- Build and install wood framing for doors, windows, and openings.
- Assist with residential additions, renovations, and structural repairs.
- Operate carpentry tools and power tools safely.
- Follow construction plans, building codes, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a rough carpenter or residential framing carpenter.
- Knowledge of residential framing techniques and construction materials.
- Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements.
- Experience using circular saws, nail guns, drills, levels, and other carpentry tools.
- Ability to lift construction materials and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
