Overview
The Install Service Technician I - HVAC is responsible for conducting the installation of HVAC & refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities
- Assembles and installs a wide variety of HVAC & refrigeration mechanical equipment as directed.
- Understanding of all phases of HVAC & refrigeration installation.
- Start up and commission for DX Equipment - Split systems and Packaged Units 10 tons and less.
- Soldering and brazing.
- Pipefitting - PVC, Copper and Steel Pipe.
- Understanding of different connectors and fasteners that are used.
- Organizes and clean work area.
- Maintains all hand tools.
- Lifts heavy materials at heights, in drop ceilings, on commercial roofs, and in mechanical rooms.
- Promotes and performs all aspects of the Company safety procedures and policies.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Current Licensed Technician (mandatory) or verifiable experience in commercial HVAC & refrigeration systems.
- Ability to perform the installation of various HVAC, refrigeration and mechanical systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
- Current Licensed Technician or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Holds an EPA Certification.
- 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
- Climbing stairs.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools.
- Low indoor temperature.
- High indoor temperature.
- Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
- Noisy environment.
- Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
