Facilities Engineering Intern

Job Purpose

Summer position within the facilities maintenance and engineering team. Position will report to Project Engineering Manager and will be assigned to the facilities department for daily tasks. Candidate will team with senior facilities associates or engineers to complete building and grounds maintenance and improvement tasks.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

This is onsite at our Warrensburg, MO facility.

• Support team with current projects and initiatives
• Assist with special assignments
• Observe team members and learn about their role in the business Painting
• Understanding safety painting, why and where we do it
• Understanding the various strategy of painting and standards with EOS department
  

Industrial Janitorial Maintenance

• Understanding the differences between residential and industrial use facilities
• Replacement of amenities- sinks, fountains, shower, ect
  
  

Building Maintenance

• Addressing roof leaks
• Industrial lighting
• Commercial doors
  
  

Utilities Maintenance

• HVAC service
• Compressed air and chilled water service
• Industrial electrical
  
  

Industrial Ventilation

• Baghouse service
• Central vac service
  
  

Troubleshooting

• Repair to above systems
  
  

Contractor management

Basic Qualifications

• Candidate should be a graduate student or enrolled in undergraduate program.
• The candidate should have an outstanding academic record, excellent organizational, interpersonal communication and written skills, strong quantitative and computer skills.
