Job Summary
We are a Construction Company that specializes in Gas, Water, Sewer, Sitework and Paving and we are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of construction machinery to facilitate building projects, site development, and material handling. Your expertise will ensure that operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, skid steers and excavators to perform site preparation, grading, trenching and excavating around live underground utilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow all equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while operating machinery on-site.
- Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment with precision and care to prevent accidents or damage.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate the safe movement of materials and equipment across the construction site.
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations.
Skills
- Proven experience operating a wide range of construction machinery including loaders, backhoes, skid steers and excavators.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with hydraulics systems used in construction machinery.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of construction site workflows
- Excellent understanding of occupational safety regulation compliance related to heavy equipment operation.
- Skilled in using hand tools for minor repairs or adjustments on machinery.

Pay: $29.81 - $35.90 per hour
