Solar Programs, Associate - Application Processing (Hybrid - Chicago, IL, Oakland, CA, Portland, OR - US)

The Distributed Energy Resources (DERS) team is currently seeking Solar Programs, Associate – Application Processing.  As a member of the DERs team, you will assist with driving customer participation in programs that incentivize the adoption of distributed and community solar. Solar energy is critical in driving our nation’s progress toward a decarbonized grid, and you will play a material role in helping our team make this future a reality. The person filling this role will be required to work in a hybrid work environment adjacent to one of our offices (Chicago, IL, Oakland, CA or Portland, OR) and expected to be in the office a minimum of once a week. 

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Process complex project applications according to documented standard operating procedures 
• Track progress of work assignments, including work to be done and work completed 
• Provide professional written communication/questions to customers who have submitted applications 
• Communicate with other team members and supervisors using collaboration tools to resolve application questions 
• Maintain a high degree of efficiency and accuracy while under time constraints 
• Participate in team meetings and complete regular training sessions to expand program knowledge 

Minimum qualifications:  

• A bachelor’s degree or 
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience or tenure in related position(s) in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
• Strong written communication skills (strong verbal skills a plus) 
• Computer literate with experience in MS Office Suite. Salesforce experience a plus 

The salary range for this role is $60,000–$70,000 with a target compensation of $66,500 based on experience and qualifications

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
