What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC/Hydro Night Lead position at Energy Transfer LP?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to lead subordinates while working in a very complex and hazardous environment.
- Ability to mentor laborers and visibility inspect vessels or process piping for damages and report damages to Quality Control
- Ability to provide oversight of all vessels and pipes received for Hydro purposes.
- Detailed awareness of all quality control Hydro measurements.
- Must have understanding of all QC regulatory policies and procedures pertaining to Hydro.
- Monitors and stimulates maximum efficiency and productivity to minimize problems and downtime.
- Ensures that established regulatory environmental and safety standards are maintained. Leads activities and decisions relative to the safety of the job and the surrounding area.
- Assures that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production and Safety
- Schedules overtime, as required.
- Excellent communicator, both written and oral and coordinate work with the Manager of QC
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with various departments within the organization.
- Ability to work closely with production manager to obtain a priority list of vessels and pipe spools.
- Ability to coordinate with fork lift operators in moving equipment as needed.
- Ability to work with Quality Control to make sure all inspection & NDE is completed before moving material to test area.
- Ensure all hydro equipment is in excellent working conditions at all times.
- Maintain a work area that is always a clean and safe environment
- Inspect and make sure all tools are in good working order for safety purposes
- Must inspect all pipe fittings, plugs, swages, ball valves, tubing fitting, reducers & gaskets for damages and replace accordantly.
- Calibrate pressure gauges on a continuous basis and maintain a calibration log.
- Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must adhere to company policies and procedures
Required education or minimum level:
- High school education (GED)
- Technical School
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience required.
Software Knowledge:
- Microsoft Office, and/or other required software
Skills:.
- Ability to lead a team of subordinates and increase efficiency, and production quality and volume. Able to apply principles and techniques to accomplish goals.
