Position Overview
The Commercial Sales Representative / Project Designer is responsible for developing new commercial business, managing client relationships, and designing insulation and air-sealing projects that meet building performance requirements. This role combines technical knowledge, sales strategy, and project planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial sales opportunities.
- Conduct site visits to assess building conditions and gather project specifications.
- Create project designs, scopes of work, and accurate estimates.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, facility managers, engineers, and commercial clients.
- Present proposals and solutions that address energy efficiency, code compliance, and budget needs.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure project accuracy and smooth execution.
- Track sales pipeline, follow up on leads, and meet revenue goals.
- Stay informed on industry standards, building codes, and energy-efficiency best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales, commercial construction, energy efficiency, building science, or related fields.
- Knowledge of insulation, air sealing, or building envelope systems (preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read construction plans and perform on-site measurements.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project-planning skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, estimating software, or similar platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
