Role Description This full-time, on-site Industrial Sales Representative role is based in Houston, TX. The Industrial Sales Representative is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing assigned accounts, and promoting ERS’s rental solutions for power generation, temperature control, compressed air, and electrical distribution. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting site visits, preparing proposals and quotations, and presenting solution-based offerings to customers. The role also involves coordinating with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate equipment selection, timely delivery, and high-quality installation and support. The Industrial Sales Representative will maintain detailed records in the CRM, follow up on projects and contracts, and provide ongoing customer service and post-rental support to sustain long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Communication skills, with a focus on building and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly explain technical rental solutions and prepare proposals and presentations.
- Proven Sales experience in industrial, construction, energy, or related sectors, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to deliver Training or product demonstrations to customers and internal stakeholders as needed.
- Familiarity with power generation, temperature control, compressed air, or electrical distribution systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and basic office software (e.g., MS Office or equivalent).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites and job locations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
