Responsible for the overall operation and administration of the facility, including:

• Ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations (e.g., CLIA for clinical labs, FBI Quality Assurance Standards for forensic labs).
• Employing qualified and competent personnel.
• Overseeing quality assurance and the accuracy of test results.
• Managing budgets, equipment maintenance, and facility safety.
• Collaborating with top executives and reporting on lab activities.

Requires a Master's or Doctoral degree in forensic science, biology, or a related field, with specialized experience in forensic DNA analysis and chain of custody procedures. Focusing more heavily on the business, operational, and strategic side—budgets, staffing logistics, facility management, and non-technical policies.

• Overseeing facility maintenance and resource allocation.
• Ensuring general operational compliance with safety and institutional policies.

• Managing the interface between laboratory operations and other researched focused departments.
• Qualifications: Background in a scientific discipline, but with a strong emphasis on management, leadership, and business administration (e.g., Master's in Healthcare Administration or Business Management). Relevant certifications may bolster job opportunities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $165,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
