What You’ll Do
Electrical and Field Coordination
- Lead day-to-day onsite coordination with electrical subcontractors, EPC partners, and other trades.
- Oversee electrical installation, commissioning activities, and QA/QC requirements for renewable projects.
- Verify that all electrical work meets design specifications, safety standards, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Conduct regular site walks to review installation progress and resolve issues before they become schedule risks.
- Review work plans, means and methods, safety procedures, and schedules for electrical and general construction scopes.
- Monitor the arrival, staging, and storage of electrical equipment and permanent materials.
- Track progress against key milestones and collaborate with EPC partners to adjust plans when required.
- Participate in punch list, mechanical completion, and substantial completion walk-downs.
- Support inspections, environmental compliance reviews, and permit closeout activities.
- Identify recurring inspection issues and coordinate with the team on whether corrective action is needed.
- Understand Inspection and Test Plans and notify QC personnel of required inspections or hold points.
- Maintain thorough documentation of onsite activities, decisions, and site conditions.
- Identify risks related to electrical scopes, technical specifications, and field operations.
- Participate in root cause analysis and help implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Serve as EPS’s onsite representative and foster strong relationships with clients, utilities, AHJs, EPCs, and community stakeholders.
- Model EPS values through professionalism, integrity, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strengthen your knowledge of electrical systems in utility-scale renewable projects.
- Share expertise across teams and support the development of junior field personnel.
- Contribute to operational reviews, shutdown planning, and time analysis activities.
- Experienced construction professional with electrical background and familiarity with solar, BESS, or wind projects.
- Skilled at coordinating multiple trades and managing electrical scopes in a fast-paced field environment.
- Strong communicator who builds trust with EPC partners, utilities, and internal teams.
- Excellent at documenting meetings, decisions, and site changes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe, and construction scheduling tools.
- Safety trained for field work (OSHA 10).
- Willing and able to travel to project sites across the United States.
- High school diploma required and additional coursework or a degree is preferred.
