What You’ll Do
- Schedule and dispatch generator technicians, field engineers, and motor shop personnel.
- Serve as the main communication point between customers, technicians, managers, and sales.
- Review work orders, parts needs, and technical details to assign the right technician to every job.
- Track jobs from start to finish—PMRs, billing steps, warranty needs, and follow-up.
- Manage after-hours emergency call routing and technician schedules.
- Support inside sales by following up on quotes and jobs awaiting parts.
- Communicate with accounting regarding customers on credit hold.
- Partner with vendors on warranty/start-up documentation.
- 2 years of experience routing or dispatching service technicians (industrial, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, diesel, etc.)
- Strong customer service skills—confident, clear, and calm under pressure.
- Comfort working with mechanical/electrical terminology and diagrams.
- Ability to quickly absorb technical information and relay it effectively.
- Previous experience working with engines, mechanical devices, or industrial equipment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities—especially when priorities change quickly.
- Ability to understand OEM vs. aftermarket parts.
- Highly respected, long-standing industrial company (46 years).
