This Technical Support position supports heating professionals over the phone and occasionally in the field, with cross functional work with engineering, research and development, and manufacturing. Support also extends to our sales team, architects, and engineers. This position requires in depth knowledge of HVAC, boiler, burner, and water heater service with strong diagnostic skills and working knowledge of basic test equipment. The successful candidate will also be an organized self-starter with a wide range of skills, who enjoys working with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. An in-depth knowledge of Energy Kinetics products is a plus, but not required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is also expected.
Write and review technical bulletins, manuals, and procedures and supporting videos.
Interact with engineering and research and development with existing product and vendor component and system reviews, as well as new product development. This position requires an organized self-starting individual with a wide range of skills, who enjoys working with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. This may involve working independently, in coordination with or under supervision of an R&D engineer, to setup and perform tests, record test data, and write and communicated brief reports using Microsoft Office.

- Strong public speaking skills for groups of up to 50 heating professionals at the training seminars.
- Excellent hands-on mechanical/electrical/plumbing/burner skills.
- Excellent trouble shooting skills of boilers using basic test equipment.
- Hands on experience with boilers, oil burners, gas burners, and heating systems.
- Working knowledge, installation, and service of air conditioning equipment a plus.
- Basic use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Job Description
- Will answer tech calls from our dealers, homeowners, and salesmen.
- Will record all tech calls on a timely basis.
- Will conduct training seminars in house and on the road. Overnight travel required.
- Will support R&D with testing of equipment, including: Hydronic systems and components, venting, piping, wiring, oil burner setup and test, gas burner setup and test.
- Will build prototypes per instructions from the engineer.
- Will use hand tools and basic power tools.
- Will be responsible for independently conducting laboratory tests.
- Will be responsible for recording and writing brief reports of test results.
- Will be responsible for maintenance of the lab and test equipment.
- Will provide support as needed to office, engineering, and plant personnel.
- Will write and review technical bulletins, manuals and procedures.
- Will occasionally travel for field support of our dealers.
