Job Title: Process Operator / Crane Operator

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 12 months

Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM (4×10 Night Shift)

Training: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM for 2–3 months

Rate: $23 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Process Operator/Crane Operator to support operations in a high‑volume industrial manufacturing environment. This position involves operating manual and mechanical equipment, handling materials with forklifts and cranes, using air tools, and performing inspection tasks with precision. Candidates must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely on a night shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines including mills, grit blasters, rollers, and similar equipment.
• Operate production equipment such as furnaces, airflow stands, and spot welders.
• Safely move products and materials using fork trucks, cranes, and hand trucks.
• Use air tools such as grinders, air hammers, and polymer dispensers.
• Perform basic inspections using micrometers, pie tapes, depth gauges, and other measurement tools
• Understand metal removal processes and their impact on potential part reuse.
• Replace remnant blast/coating media in 50‑gallon barrels.
• Work outdoors as needed and follow all required safety protocols, including respirator use if applicable.
  
  

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude and hands‑on skills assessment.
• Experience operating manual machinery (mills, grit blasting, rollers).
• Ability to obtain forklift and crane certifications.
• Skilled in operating air tools (grinders, air hammers, polymer dispensers).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Must be able to be fitted for a respirator as required
