Seeking Mechanic to support field compression and production operations. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of high‑horsepower natural gas compression equipment, with a strong focus on CAT 3500 and 3600 series engines paired with Ariel compressors.

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on large horsepower Caterpillar engines (3500 & 3600 series)
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, ignition, and cooling systems on engine‑driven compressor packages
- Conduct overhauls and major component rebuilds, including power assemblies, heads, crankcases, and turbo systems
- Inspect, maintain, and service Ariel reciprocating compressors, including valves, pistons, rods, packing, and bearings
- Troubleshoot vibration, performance, and operational issues to minimize downtime
- Utilize CAT ET or similar diagnostic tools where applicable
- Complete accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational best practices
- Collaborate with operations, reliability, and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and uptime
- Provide field support during startups, shutdowns, and emergency call‑outs as required
- Proven hands‑on experience as a large horsepower mechanic in oil & gas or compression environments
- Extensive knowledge of CAT 3500 and/or 3600 series engines
- Working experience with Ariel compressors (JGA, JGR, KB, A, or similar frames)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins
- Willingness to work in field conditions, including rotating schedules, extended hours, or on‑call support
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet site access requirements
- Formal factory or OEM training on CAT 3500/3600 engines
- Ariel compressor training and/or certifications
- Familiarity with vibration analysis, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), or reliability programs
- Field‑based role supporting natural gas compression assets
- Exposure to heavy equipment, rotating machinery, and outdoor working conditions
- Safety‑sensitive position requiring strict adherence to company and regulatory standards
