HSE Specialist

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in compliance reviews, risk assessments, and safety inspections to support HSE management.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, logs, and reports.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations and company HSE policies.
• Provide recommendations to management on HSE issues and corrective actions.
• Participate in and document incident investigations and promote preventive measures.
• Assist in developing and conducting HSE-related training for employees and contractors.
• Identify hazards, promote safe work practices, and ensure use of proper PPE.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of safety and environmental programs.
• Coordinate waste handling, labeling, and disposal in compliance with government regulations.
• Stay informed of new and updated HSE legislation and standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  
  

Job Duties

• Conduct routine facility inspections and safety audits.
• Support preparation and submission of internal and regulatory HSE reports.
• Work closely with supervisors and employees to strengthen HSE awareness and engagement.
• Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and external safety organizations.
• Oversee contractor compliance systems, including ISN and Veriforce.
• Assist in multi-facility oversight, including customer and field site visits.
• Lead and track corrective actions to completion following incidents or audit findings.
• Participate in safety meetings and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  

Education And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certified training in an HSE-related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, and relevant standards (NFPA, ASME, ANSI).
• Experience with ISN and Veriforce preferred.
• Oilfield or manufacturing industry experience highly desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  
  

Travel Expectations

• Multi facility oversight visits may be required. Customer meetings and field site visits are routinely conducted. Travel to customer sites is required frequently.
